Content that communicates, connects and engages

Data interrogation and reporting represents a major challenge and opportunity for businesses, now more than ever. My current MSc course includes conducting data and digital investigations, visualisations and coding.

Creating engaging content is the key goal for any piece of work. As a History graduate, coupled with journalistic training and editing, means I am ready to get people understanding the message they need to know.

Having a happy work environment relies on having an enthusiastic team. I give my all to any project, and have been given an outstanding contribution award as voted for by the Gair Rhydd 2015-16 team.

About Me

Winning the national Student Publication Association (SPA) Award for Best Interview in 2016 inspired me to embark on my MSc in Computational and Data Journalism.  On the technical side of things I’m still a basic coder, trying to get my head around D3 and Django slowly, but I’m getting there slowly.

I’ve done a lot in student media, from being a section and deputy editor at Cardiff University’s Gair Rhydd. This enabled me to network at national conferences, like SPA National Conference and Future News 2015, meeting people from around the UK and the world.

In my spare time I am partial to a bit of Netflix, some occasional cooking and baking, as well as keeping an eye on the politicians in Cardiff Bay.

I am currently looking for full-time employment from September 2017, and possible part-time before then.
